Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be unconscious or lose control?

No, hypnosis is just a deeply focused, relaxed state. You remain fully aware and in control the entire time. It’s a collaborative, relaxed process.

What if I can’t be hypnotized?

Everyone can experience hypnosis—it’s a natural state of mind. If you’ve ever been lost in thought or daydreamed, you’ve already been in hypnosis!

Will I remember the session afterward?

Yes, most people remember everything. Some clients feel like they drift in and out of awareness, but that’s completely normal and part of the experience.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals. Some clients see results after one session, while deeper work (like trauma healing or weight loss) benefits from multiple sessions. 

Are sessions online or in person?

All sessions are virtual, so you can experience hypnosis from the comfort of your own space.

Do I need to prepare for my session?

No preparation needed! Just find a quiet, comfortable space if doing a virtual session, and come with an open mind.

Do you accept insurance?

No, my services are private pay only.

What if I get emotional during the session?

That’s totally okay. Emotions coming up is part of the process. You don’t need to hold anything in or explain what you’re feeling—we move at your pace, and you’re always in a safe space.

What if I don’t feel anything or nothing comes up?

That’s more common than people think. Just noticing—even if it feels like “nothing”—is still your system responding. Things may shift later, even outside the session.

Is this safe for trauma or PTSD?

Yes. Both Brainspotting and hypnotherapy are trauma-sensitive. You don’t have to talk about your past or relive anything. We go at your pace and stay within what feels manageable for your body and nervous system.

What should I do after a session?

Take it easy if you can. You might feel tired, quiet, emotional, or totally fine. Drink water, rest, and give yourself space to process. No pressure to “do” anything.
